About the Programme

Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management (MESPOM 2026–2028) — a prestigious, fully funded two-year programme designed to train the next generation of global sustainability leaders.

The MESPOM Consortium brings together four world-class European universities:
Central European University (Austria)
Lund University (Sweden)
The University of Manchester (UK)
The University of the Aegean (Greece)

Since 2005, MESPOM has prepared professionals to tackle environmental and sustainability challenges through science, management, and policy.

Program Overview

Duration: 24 months (120 ECTS)
Structure:

• Year 1

  • Fall & Winter: Central European University (Vienna, Austria) – Core environmental and sustainability modules.

  • Spring: University of the Aegean (Lesvos, Greece) – Focus on land, water, ecosystem management, and sustainable tourism.

  • Summer: Professional internships with 11 global partners.

• Year 2

  • Fall:

    • Lund University (Sweden) – Environment, Industry & Products.

    • The University of Manchester (UK) – Environment & Pollution Control.

  • Spring: Master’s thesis at any partner university, aligned with students’ professional goals.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:
 Hold a Bachelor’s degree (GPA 3.5 or above) in environmental sciences, policy, management, engineering, or related fields.
 Show strong motivation and engagement in sustainability or environmental work.
 Have English language proficiency.
Be citizens of any country (global applicants welcome).
