Fish Breeding, Physiology and Reproduction Research Fellow at RWANDA AGRICULTURE AND ANIMAL RESOURCES DEVELOPEMENT BOARD (RAB): (Deadline 4 March 2022)
Job description
-Collaborate with the National Counterparts in coordination of Research for development and extension service in Aquaculture;
-Conducting researches for development in the Aquaculture sector;
-Conduct research and Disseminate the outcome on Aquaculture innovative technology in Rwanda;
-Promote adaptive research and extension approaches in Aquaculture;
-Understand, analyze, and disseminate Aquaculture production system;
-Developing innovations and projects that insure sustainable Aquaculture in Rwanda;
-Develop SOP/ guidelines and strategies for suitable Aquaculture farming system in Rwanda;
-Write competitive research proposals to be submitted to available grants at national, regional and international levels to collect, process, analyse, publish and disseminate relevant information on Aquaculture in different agro ecological zones of the country;
-Ensure the capacity building of RAB staff, stakeholders on Aquaculture development;
-Strengthen partnership with regional and international research / development institutions, Scientist, Extension agent, private sector actors in the Aquaculture and projects involved in the Aquaculture promotion in Rwanda;
-Produce consolidated quarter and annual reports;
-Report to the Program Coordinator
-Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Having authored at least one (1) scientific publication as first author and three (3) publications as a co-author in a peer-reviewed journal

Being conversant with national and sector policies and development agenda

Proven experience to work with farmers and industry stakeholders in research and extension

Capacity in project development and resource Mobilization

Having authored at least four (4) scientific publications as first author and six (6) publications as a co-author in a peer-reviewed journal for Master degree holders
-
Having contributed to the writing of at least two (2) successful research projects for Master degree holder
-
Having contributed to the generation of at least four (4) innovations or technology for Animal Resources development for Master degree holders
