Flinders University Bob Such Memorial Scholarship 2024: (Deadline 2 April, 2024)
The scholarship was established to honour the late Honourable Bob Such MP, who represented the local seat of Fisher in the House of Assembly for 25 years until his passing in October 2014. The scholarship will provide financial assistance to students from the southern suburbs of Adelaide undertaking an undergraduate degree at Flinders University.
The scholarship was initially established by a grant provided by the State Government. From 2023, the scholarship is being funded by Charles Such, brother of the late Bob Such.

Aim and Benefits of Bob Such Memorial Scholarship
Each Scholarship will be valued at $2,500. The Scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
The number of scholarships will be dependent on available funds.
Requirements for Bob Such Memorial Scholarship Qualification
Applicants for the scholarship must:
- Be an Australian Citizen, NZ Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, a Permanent Humanitarian visa holder, and
- Normally reside in the southern suburbs of Adelaide (local government areas of Holdfast Bay, Marion, Mitcham or Onkaparinga), and
- Be enrolled full-time at Flinders University* in the second or subsequent year of an undergraduate degree in Education or STEM areas; and
- Be in receipt of a Commonwealth Income Support payment; or
- Be able to demonstrate financial hardship.
*Scholarships are available to part-time students in exceptional circumstances, which includes (but is not limited to) disability, illness or carer responsibilities.
