To be considered for merit-based scholarships from the Office of Admissions, students must submit a complete admissions application by January 15. For additional information about the awarding process, please visit Freshman Scholarship Requirements & Timeline. All scholarships are awarded on a funds available basis to students who have been admitted to a USF System campus.

The above awards are not-stackable. Students will receive the highest award for which they qualify within the awarding timeline. All Green & Gold awards are credited in the form of a partial out-of-state tuition waiver; exact award amounts vary based on the number of credits in which a student enrolls each term.

National Hispanic Scholar Finalist | $20,000 ($5,000 per year) and a study abroad scholarship | Receive designation as a National Hispanic Scholar Finalist by the College Board in the National Hispanic Recognition Program.
This award must be stacked with an additional Office of Admissions award. |

*The Benacquisto Scholarship Program, formerly known as the Florida Incentive Scholarship Program, is a merit scholarship for high school graduates who achieve the National Merit® Scholar Finalist designation. If a student qualifies for this award, it will replace all other awards from the Office of Admissions, excluding the Tradition of Excellence National Merit Scholarship award. The Benacquisto Scholarship covers 100 percent of the cost of attendance, minus the amount that the recipient receives from Bright Futures and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
