ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

• Must be an international student (non-Canadian requiring a study permit).
• Must be currently in your final year of secondary school (high school) or have graduated no earlier than June 2025.
• Must be nominated by your high school (your school must be registered and verified with the University of Toronto).
• Must be applying to begin your first undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto in September 2026.
• Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, creativity, and leadership within your school or community.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

• High school transcripts (academic records).
• Proof of English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL), if applicable.
• School nomination form (completed by your school’s guidance counselor or authorized official).
• OUAC application number (confirmation of your application to the University of Toronto).
• Completed Pearson Scholarship application form (submitted online after receiving your nomination).
• Personal statement or written responses outlining your achievements, leadership, creativity, and community impact.
• Reference letter(s) (may be requested by the scholarship committee or during university admission).

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

• Your school must first nominate you for the Pearson Scholarship (deadline: 10 October 2025).
• Apply to the University of Toronto for an undergraduate program through the OUAC (Ontario Universities’ Application Centre) by mid-October 2025.
• Once nominated and after submitting your OUAC application, you will receive a personalized, secure link to complete the Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application.
• Complete and submit the Pearson Scholarship application form online by around 7 November 2025.
• Ensure you also provide all required documents.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• The scholarship supports only the first undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto.
• The scholarship is highly competitive.
• Successful candidates are notified on a rolling basis between February and April 2026 after receiving an offer of admission.
