FATE Consulting Ltd (FATE) is a consulting firm based in Kigali, Rwanda. We specialize in Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) analysis and integration, GESI sensitive qualitative and quantitative research, strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation, and participatory coaching, training, and capacity building. We delivers high-quality products and services for our clients, aiming to advance gender equality as part of sustainable development.
We are looking for a dynamic GESI Specialist to join out multidisciplinary team.
Duties and Responsibilities
The GESI Specialist will be responsible for providing technical and programmatic support in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) and Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE).
Responsibilities:
Provide direct technical assistance and guidance on GESI&WEE for consulting projects.
Support the development of tools, processes, and approaches that continuously improve technical excellence and impact in the area of transformative approaches to GESI&WEE as part of the projects undertaken by the team of for FATE as an organization.
Lead, coordinate, support, and/or conduct GESI analyses, studies, evaluation or assessments as required by the projects being carried out.
Assist with ensuring GESI sensititivity for the quantitative/qualitative research and evaluation projects
Support team members to understand the role of GESI in different development settings.
Work closely with other specialists to ensure GESI criteria are well integrated into all the projects.

Familiar with the gender analytical frameworks
GESI analysis skills
Understanding of the GESI policy, legal and institutional frameworks at the national, regional and international levels

In-depth knowledge on development issues
Actively works towards continuing personal learning and development
IT skills
MS Office package
Language:
Fluency in English language
Excellent drafting and presentation skills.
Academic writing skills
Excellent spoken English
Mastery of Kinyarwanda is an asset
Required Education and Experience
Education:
Master’s Degree in social science especially gender studies, or relevant discipline
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in gender-related field
Desirable experience:
Experience in research and GESI analysis.
Experience in design, monitoring, and evaluation of gender projects
