This groundbreaking initiative offers curated experiences that allow mentees, mentors, and members to build skills, connect with like-minded individuals, and explore storytelling across genres and platforms.

What Are Journeys?

Each Journey in the Collaboratory is a thoughtfully curated package that includes:

Designed by a team of dedicated teachers, artists, and content experts, each Journey is a multifaceted experience. Whether you’re looking for a short, light engagement or a more intensive, real-time commitment, Journeys are adaptable to your personal goals, interests, and availability.

Journey Cycles

The Collaboratory operates in three flexible Journey Cycles throughout the year. Participants may choose to engage in one, two, or all three cycles, depending on their personal schedule and aspirations.

• Summer Cycle: July 1 – September 30
• Fall Cycle: November 1 – January 31
• Spring Cycle: March 1 – May 31

These cycles give participants the freedom to tailor their involvement and commit based on availability and interest level.

Adventures: Deeper Exploration Over Time

Each Journey is a building block toward a larger Adventure. Think of Adventures as the equivalent of academic majors—offering a 360-degree exploration of a genre, topic, or focus area. As you progress through multiple Journeys, you’ll dive deeper into specialized areas of writing, media, leadership, or activism.

Join as a Member and stay connected to the community with select access to writing, mentoring, and community resources—without the full Journey commitment.
