Global Center on Adaptation “My Adaptation Solution” Video Competition 2024: (Deadline 26 September, 2024)
Are you between 18-35 years old and leading the fight against climate change? Have you developed an innovative and creative adaptation solution? Share your adaptation solution with the world by entering your one-minute video in the My Climate Adaptation Solution Video Competition 2024.
The Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day, organized by the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) on the 12th of October 2024, is the largest-running annual youth adaptation event taking place in over 100 countries around the world. This day is dedicated to mobilizing, showcasing, and celebrating the potential of young people to innovate and accelerate climate adaptation solutions. Youths across the world are invited to participate in this day of climate adaptation celebration.
The Youth Climate Adaptation Action Day will:
- Build the youth adaptation movement with schools, universities, and youth organizations.
- Raise awareness and increase the knowledge of young people on climate adaptation.
- Drive knowledge sharing for youth-led adaptation actions in Africa and around the world.
Eligibility
- Applicants should be between 18-35 years of age.
- Young people should have developed or assisted with the development of the adaptation solution they are presenting.
- All videos should be maximum 60 seconds.
- The video should be submitted in MP4 format.
- Videos should be filmed vertically.
- Applicants should include the following information: name, country, climate change impacts, their adaptation solution, final sentence: what’s your adaptation solution?
Deadline: 26 September, 2024
Application
To enter, submit your video to the Google Drive using the following steps:
- Name your Submission: The video should be titled: Participant’s name_Title
- Access your Google Drive.
- Upload the Video File: Locate the ‘New’ button on the left side of the Google Drive. Select ‘file upload’ and click the video file you want to select.
- Monitor the Upload: Wait for the file to appear on the Google Drive.
- Share the Video: Open the video file, click the three dots to the right and select ‘Share’. Copy the link and ensure that the access level is set to ‘Viewer’.
