Globally Public Policy New Voices Fellowship Program 2024: (Deadline 5 January, 2024)

The Public Policy New Voices Fellowship Program is a collaboration among leading American public policy graduate schools, premier corporate public policy teams, and some of the most innovative global strategic advisory firms to provide a year-long Fellowship for public policy graduate students from racially underrepresented communities.

PPNV supports and elevates racially underrepresented communities in the field of public policy. In that pursuit, we engage students of color while recognizing the structural challenges that prevent full representation and participation in policy-focused careers.

The Fellowship is for public policy graduate students who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) and are U.S. citizens, U.S. residents, or DACA recipients. This includes Black students from the African diaspora, students with tribal citizenship or membership (e.g., citizens of state-recognized or federally-recognized indigenous tribes, or members of unrecognized Native American or Alaska Native tribes), Latino/a students, and students of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) descent. The PPNV 2022 Fellowship will include approximately 40 students and maintains gender parity.

To be considered for the PPNV Fellowship, applicants must commit to:

  • Actively participating in 1-2 virtual events per month.
  • Demonstrating an internal curiosity and willingness to explore public policy careers across sectors (including the private sector).
  • Participating in short video interviews with Globally staff and/or submitting self-recorded video content.
  • Producing a written reflection paper at the end of the Fellowship.
  • Modeling PPNV’s commitment to community-building, racial diversity, and inclusion.
  • Sharing demographic information to assist in tracking PPNV’s long-term progress as a diversity program.

Upon completing the Fellowship, participants must submit a reflection paper to Globally. Their reflections will be shared with university and corporate partners and will inform the next year of programming to maintain this program’s ability to respond to the needs and interests of Fellows over time.

PPNV Alumni join Globally’s community of emerging leaders in international affairs. Fellows have access to Globally’s virtual community management application, through which they can connect with other emerging leaders, engage in discussion groups, and deepen their network within the Globally community.
