Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for GIST Scholarships 2026 must meet the following:

  1. Educational Requirements:

    • Master’s applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree.

    • PhD applicants must hold a Master’s degree.

  2. Academic Records:

    • Official transcripts and degree certificates (apostilled, notarized, or embassy-certified).

  3. Recommendation Letters:

    • Two letters from academic or professional supervisors.

  4. English Proficiency:

    • TOEFL iBT 80 | TOEFL PBT 550 | IELTS 6.5 | TOEIC 750 | NEW TEPS 285

    • Exemption for students from English-speaking countries or English-medium institutions.

    • Conditional admission possible if scores are unavailable.

  5. Passport: Valid copy required.

Application Procedure

  1. Online Application Submission:

    • Apply via the GIST Admission Portal.

    • Upload all required documents in English or Korean (notarized if in another language).

  2. Document Review:

    • Applications are reviewed over 30 days. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for interviews.

  3. Admission Notification:

    • Spring 2026: December 4, 2025

    • Fall 2026: June 4, 2026

  4. Enrollment & Fee Payment:

    • Submit enrollment documents and pay the matriculation fee (or apply for waiver).

  5. Submission of Verified Certificates:

    • Send original verified certificates within 10 days of enrollment.

  6. Visa Application:

    • Apply for a Korean student visa using the Certificate of Admission.
