Scholarship Benefits:
The award includes one-time €25,000 flexible personal research funds as well as €9,500 as research funding per year, funding of one doctoral position, and a five-year membership in the Hector Fellow Academy.
Eligibility for Hector Research Career Development
To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- W1 assistant professor (with or without Tenure Track) or junior research group leader in the natural or engineering sciences, medicine or psychology
- Also, doctorate or PhD-equivalent with outstanding results & completion less than 7 years ago
- Furthermore, employment at a German university or research institution supporting the application
- Also, content-related or formal authorization to supervise doctoral researchers
