History & Socio- Cultural Anthropology Research Specialist at Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy: (Deadline 11 March 2022)
Job description
1. Carrying out research on Rwandan history and socio-cultural anthropology
Propose and write research projects on Rwandan history and socio – cultural anthropology;
Propose potential partners and researcher fellows;
Conduct research on history and socio – cultural anthropology using standardized research methods;
Process data and prepare reports on findings;
Create a system for compiling the research data.
2. Dissemination of research results
Write papers and other publication contents with the information gathered and compiled;
Communicate with other researchers and publishers
Develop exhibitions related to Rwandan History and Socio-Cultural anthropology;
Organise, participate and present in workshops and conferences;
Teach history and culture-related subjects;
Supervise and train interns, volunteers and staff;
Engage collaboration / partnership with other research institutions to disseminate research results on history and socio-cultural anthropology.
3. Participation in Conservation and preservation of museums collections
Document collected historical and cultural objects stored or displayed in different museums;
Analyse and document on preservation techniques of Rwandan cultural practices, knowledge and skills.
