About the Internship
Join MPG as a Research Intern and contribute to cutting-edge work in European migration and integration policy.
This paid internship offers hands-on experience in indicator-based research. You’ll work with our flagship tools—MIPEX (Migrant Integration Policy Index) and MIREX (Migration Return Policies Index)—as part of the FAIR (Finding Agreement in Return) project, which explores crucial dimensions of return policy, including detention practices, policy legitimacy, and alternatives.
You will also contribute to broader projects by conducting desk research, data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and assisting with dissemination of findings.

Who Should Apply
Required:

Already legally residing in Belgium (or prepared to do so during internship)

Fluent in English (knowledge of other European languages a plus)

Strong writing, analytical, and social research skills

Solid grasp of migration, integration, and return policy issues
Preferred:

Familiarity with MIPEX, MIREX, or other MPG indicators

Experience in quantitative analysis or policy evaluation
