Rutsiro Honey Ltd is a company that produces diversified honey products for the local and international market and offer capacity development programs for beekeepers.
Rutsiro Honey LTD is currently recruiting for FOOD SCIENTIST position
FOOD SCIENTIST REPONSABILITIES
- Doing experiments on individual ingredients or finished products to test for safety, or physical and sensory properties (such as taste and smell)
- Monitoring the movement of food from farm to processing plant to shop, applying a procedure called Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) to ensure food safety at all stages
Improving products, production methods and packaging
- Creating recipes for new product ranges and designing new production processes
- Finding out if a product appeals to the consumer by carrying out testing
- Determining the nutritional values of food for labelling.
- Designing processes for the mass production of food products
- Checking that production processes are efficient and looking into any problems
- Making sure that production processes meet all health, safety and food hygiene regulations
- Liaising with professionals in other areas, such as marketing, sales and distribution
- Writing reports and drawing up statistics of results.
- Responsible for high standards of production and storage
- Communicate with the rest of the company
- Help improve sales processes and customer
- Conduct and monitor experiments using live organisms or biomolecular processes in a laboratory setting to solve problems, improve processes and develop new products
- Use scientific knowledge to follow different methodologies to achieve results
- Set up, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment and computers
- work independently and collaboratively with other scientists
- Keep up to date with new advances in biotechnology to develop new techniques, products or practices.
- Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Management
QUARIFICATIONS
- The candidate must be Rwandese Nationality
- The candidate must have a Bachelor degree in Food Science or , Food Biotechnology and others field related with 2 years of experiences worked in Agro processing industrial ,
- Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Intermediate IT skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word
- English and Kinyarwanda fluency.
The candidate must able to start immediately to work
