Job at MINISTRY OF INFRASTRUCTURE : Internal Auditor ( Deadline:04 September 2018 )
1.Review the accounts of the Ministry to ensure the validity and legality of their financial records.
2.Carry out a financial health check of the Ministry
3.Advice and recommend possible risk aversion measures and cost savings.
4.Examine the money going in and out of the Ministry and make sure it is recorded and processed appropriately.
5.Examine MININFRA accounts and financial control systems.
6.Ascertain accuracy and reliability of financial reports and records.
7.Ensuring that assets of the Ministry are well safeguarded.
8.Identify where internal controls are not working as they should, and advise appropriately.
9.Prepare reports, commentaries on financial statements.
10.Present audit findings and recommendations to management to take appropriate action.
11.Ensure procedures, policies, legislation and regulations are correctly followed and complied with.
12.Undertake reviews of wages and procurement processes.
13.Review and monitor the implementation of Auditor General’s recommendations.
A0 in Finance, Accounting or Management with specialization in Finance/Accounting
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:
– Detailed knowledge of financial and Audit Standards, HR & Financial regulations,Procedures and Financial software;
– Planning Skill;
– High Analytical skills;
– Report writing and presentation skills.
– Time management skills;
– Excellent problem
– solving skills and clear logical thinking;
– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage
