? Ensure the Board of Directors, Senior Management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies
? Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
? Ensure that all submissions to the board of Directors of NIRDA follows all applicable laws, and regulations and internal guidelines;
? Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Board and senior management informed of the operations and progress of compliance efforts.
? Works with HR Unit to develop an effective compliance training program , including appropriate introductory training for new employees as well as on
– going training for all employees and managers
? Contribute expertise and input as required into cross
– functional project teams
? Ensure compliance with national legislation, agreements entered between NIRDA and private individuals, private companies, countries and international organizations in the interest of NIRDA
? Provide technical support in the design and implementation NIRDA’s risk governance framework, risk management strategy, management processes and tools necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the organization’s operational and strategic risk;
? Prepare and coordinate risk management reports at various levels to provide an analysis of key risks identified as a platform for decision making for Senior Management;
? Identify potential causes of non
– compliance with applicable legislation, rules and regulations based on internal and external audits and internal compliance reviews, and make recommendations for appropriate corrective and preventive actions;
? Prepare reports on ongoing risk maturity assessment and health checks;
? Monitor compliance with the established Standard Operating Procedures at NIRDA.
Master’s Degree in Commercial or Corporate Law with three years of working experience or A0 in Commercial or Corporate Law with a minimum of five years of working experience.
Key technical skills and knowledge required:
? Strong command of written and spoken English
? Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
? High analytical skills, detail oriented and demonstrated experience working in compliance matters
? Extensive experience working for public institutions
