
Job Description
– Ensure preventative law, provide legal advice and assistance to management and internal units of the RAB SPIU Projects; -Ensure that management understands the legal and contractual risks and prevent them before they occur; -Review and provide legal advice on contract documents, including tender documentation, ensuring that the content and its quality are compliant to requirements; -Provide all necessary support, advice and guidance to staff and senior managers on legal and contractual matters on projects. -Assist the SPIU in any negotiations and vetting of contracts at national and International level; -Instruct and supervise external solicitors in litigation and other legal matters concerning the institution; -Ensure compliance with national legislation, agreements entered between RAB SPIU Projects and private individuals, the private companies, countries and international organizations in the interest of RAB.

Job Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 7 years of working experience or Master’s degree in Law with 3 years of working experience; -Professional Diploma from the School of Legal Practice and Development; -Extensive knowledge of Rwandan laws; -Knowledge of Substantive Laws and Legal Procedures; -Computer Literacy; -Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and French; -Ability to work with minimum supervision; -Excellent organisation, interpersonal and time management skills
