Vacancy announcement


SOS Children’s Villages Rwanda situated at Kacyiru in Gasabo District/ Kigali City would like to recruit the SOS Children’s Village Sponsorship Officer for SOS Children’s Village Gikongoro Location situated in Nyamagabe District. He/she will sign a contract of a period of one year which will be renewable according to the needs of the sponsorship work in the SOS CV Gikongoro.

Summary of the Post


Under the general supervision of the SOS Location Program Director and the technical supervision by the Sponsorship Manager, the Village Sponsorship Officer will be in charge of all the Sponsorship work of SOS Children, Youths and the SOS location.




Mission of the position


The SOS Sponsorship Officer is responsible for sponsorship duties including child registration& departure processes, bi-annual sponsorship reports, sponsorship digital assets management, sponsor inquiries & visits, management of sponsor correspondences,… In addition, she/he also supports in the performance of a variety of administrative tasks. Since her /his work involves frequent dealings with the public, she/he must have a friendly courteous, professional and efficient approach.



Profile, Competencies and Desired Personality Characteristics


Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English-French or journalism with excellent English skills.
At least 2 years of experience in sponsorship work will be an added value
Age: Between 25-35
Strong IT literacy (Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, and database management basic skills including SPSS/ DSapp soft wares)
Strong skills in Photography and video making
Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-site organization with a geographically dispersed data collection tools.
Respect for different culture and religious background.
Strong family values – ability to work in a child-friendly environment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to work under pressure and extra time to meet deadlines
