1. About SNV

2. Project Introduction
SNV in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), is implementing the Farmer to Market Alliance (FtMA) project. This initiative aims to strengthen agricultural value chains by improving smallholder farmers’ access to markets, finance, and essential services. The project generates substantial data from multiple sources, requiring efficient data collection, cleaning, collation, and reporting to ensure high-quality insights for decision-making.
3. Objective of the Consultancy
The objective of this consultancy is to support SNV and WFP in managing the full data processing cycle for the FtMA project. The consultant will be responsible for data collection, cleaning, structuring, analysis, and reporting, contributing to project evaluation and strategic planning.
4. Scope of Work
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Monitor data collection processes to ensure data Quality and adherence data quality standards.
- Data cleaning and Validation: Identify and correct errors in datasets, including duplicate records, missing values, and inconsistencies.
- Apply data validation techniques to enhance accuracy and

The consultant is expected to provide the following deliverables:
- Facilitated data cleaning and validated datasets ready for

6. Duration and Work Schedule
The consultancy will last for 10 days with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance. The consultant will be expected to work during this timeline and submit deliverables.
7. Required Qualifications and Experience
The ideal consultant should have:
- A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in data collection, processing, and reporting within development projects.
- Proficiency in data management software such as advanced Excel, SPSS, Stata, LogAlto, Power BI, etc.
- Experience working with digital data collection tools like preferably SurveyCTO, Kobo Toolbox or ODK.
- Strong data visualization and analytical
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results under tight
- Experience in the agriculture, rural development, or food security sectors is an added advantage.
8.Reporting and Supervision
The consultant will report to the MEL advisor and will collaborate closely with the SNV and FtMA team members to ensure timely and effective data processing and reporting.

10. Key compliance issues
Consultant must comply with SNV’s environmental and Social Safeguarding policies and procedures as well as take into consideration donor-specific requirements.
11. Data Protection assurance
