Job responsibilities

• Monitoring the implementation of land husbandry activities; • Documenting and reporting majors land husbandry achievements, practices, challenges and suggesting adequate recommendations; • Ensuring that all land husbandry operational activities are carried out in line with the work plan; • Inspection of the buffer zone of rivers, natural and artificial water reservoirs and report on their status and propose best land husbandry techniques to restore encroached area; • Facilitation of working environment between supervising companies, contractors, project district staff and the local community with successful result oriented; • Preparation and implementation of education and public awareness programs related to land husbandry aspects; • Development and implementation of land husbandry activity plans and road map; • Production of land husbandry activities status report; • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry Ecosystem Management

      0 Year of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Watershed Management

      0 Year of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources Management

      0 Year of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Soil and Water Management

      0 Year of relevant experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Soil and environmental Management

      0 Year of relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community Forestry and Agro-forestry

    0 Year of relevant experience

    • Resource management skills
    • Decision making skills
    • Time management skills
    • Risk management skills
    • Results oriented
    • Digital literacy skills
    • Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/or French. Knowledge of all is an added advantage.
    • Maintenance skills of land husbandry
    • Working knowledge of planting and maintaining turf, water schedules and fertilizers
    • Knowledge of good agricultural practices
    • Analytical skills;
