Job description

– Answerable to the Centre Manager;
– Undertake systematic screening programs for ex-combatants;
– Counsel individuals and groups regarding problems such as stress, substance abuse, and family situations, in order to modify behavior and/or to improve personal, social, and vocational adjustment;
– Develop and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity and duration of therapy;
– Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling or treatment, and the accuracy and completeness of diagnoses, and then modify plans and diagnoses when necessary;
– Identify psychological, emotional or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders using information obtained from interviews, group discussions, and reference materials.
– Conduct psychological, social and family therapy by interviewing ex-combatants and their families;
– Utilize a variety of treatment methods such as psychotherapy, hypnosis, behavior modification, stress reduction therapy, psychodrama and play therapy.
– Write reports on ex-combatants and maintain required paperwork;
– Sensitize ex-combatants during demobilization process to access available services in the community.
– Produce and submit daily situation reports, weekly flash reports, monthly statistical reports and quarterly narrative reports to his/her supervisor; and
– Perform any other official duties assigned by the supervisor.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology

    Experience: 0

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health

    Experience: 0
