Eligibility Criteria for Mauritius Government Scholarships 2025
- Citizen of an African Union or African Commonwealth country
- Age Limits: Undergraduate (18-25 years as of 01 January 2026), MPhil/PhD (under 40 years as of 01 January 2026)
- Must have applied for a full-time on-campus Diploma, Degree, MPhil, or PhD program at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius for the 2024 academic year
- PhD: Requires a first-class undergraduate degree or MPhil, meeting awarding body criteria
- MPhil/PhD: Requires upper second-class undergraduate degree (or GPA > 60%), preferably with a master’s
- Diploma Program: Five credits at S.C., G.C.E ‘O’ Level, or IGCSE, including English, or equivalent
- Undergraduate Degree: Minimum of 21 points at GCE or HSC A-Level, 60% average, or equivalent

- Evidence of English or French proficiency
- National Endorsement Form
- Proof of application for a full-time program at a public HEI in Mauritius
