  • The IMPRS-BAC is looking for highly driven PhD candidates from throughout the world who exhibit a love of interdisciplinary research, academic quality, and inventiveness.
  • German citizenship is not required.
  • As of April 30, 2026, they must have spent no longer than 15 months in Germany.
  • Applicants must possess a Master’s degree (or its equivalent) in a relevant discipline that is above average.
  • Strong English language skills and a desire to pick up some basic German are required.
  • Applicants must not have a PhD before.
  • No more than six years must have passed since graduation before April 30, 2026.
