VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

DP World Logistics Rwanda, would like to recruit qualified and experienced Mechanics

Key Responsibilities

Carry out diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on forklifts (mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems).
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with manufacturer standards.
Troubleshoot and fix breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate service and repair records and prepare regular technical reports.
Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
Conduct inspections, overhauls, and enforce safety standards at the station.
Provide technical recommendations on equipment condition, repairs, and replacement needs.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in forklift repair and maintenance (diesel, gas & electric).
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical diagnostics.
Ability to work independently
Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Key Competencies

Strong hands-on technical and diagnostic skills in forklift maintenance and repair.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Problem-solving mindset with quick decision-making under pressure.
Good communication and reporting skills (able to liaise with head office).
High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability.
Safety-conscious with attention to detail.
Ability to manage spare parts and workshop resources efficiently.
Customer-oriented and proactive in addressing operational needs.
