JOB OPPORTUNITY – NATIONAL SALES MANAGER (RWANDA).
Bazizane Beatha Ltd is a renowned Distribution company in Rwanda distributing products for HACO Industries Ltd a leading FMCG manufacturer, supplying a wide range of products to the entire East African and COMESA Markets. HACO manufactures quality personal and home care brands that include MIADI, AMARA, SO-SOFT, SPARKLE, ACE, Haco pegs and rulers.
We are seeking to hire a competent National Sales Manager to champion Haco brands within the country and neighboring regions.
About the Role
This role reports to the General Manager – Central Cluster and is based in Kigali. The role-holder will lead the Rwanda and neighboring region sales agenda by building and strengthening commercial relationships with general trade, modern trade and HORECA channels, in addition the National Sales manager will be in charge of managing the in-country sales teams and ensure achievement of desired revenue targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and direct implementation of business strategies and plans to achieve the agreed revenues, profitability and volume goals for the country, consistent with overall sales and marketing strategy.
- Lead and focus the country sales teams by instilling high performance culture.
- Drive high levels of customer engagement with the trade principals to ensure sustained beneficial and profitable commercial relationships between the parties.
- Identifying and escalating to the management the opportunities and challenges the various shareholders are facing and lobbying for support.
- Leading, motivating and daily monitoring of the sales staff and third-party sales teams to ensure they are focused on delivering the set business objectives.
- In liaison with the line manager, develop revenue forecasts yearly, quarterly, month and ensure they are realized.
- Champion marketing and trade activities within the country by ensuring proper coordination and realization of the set objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Joint Business Plans.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities while ensuring maximum support.
- Develop the competence, motivation and commitment of sales teams through effective training, guidance and support.
- Keep abreast of market, trade and competitor activity to revise strategies to meet changing requirements.
Education Qualification, Experience, Skills, and Traits
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- 7 years’ managerial experience within sales function in FMCGwith proven track record of high performance.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage
- Experience in General and Modern trade is a key requirement for the role especially within Rwanda
- Strong ability to manage country sales teams.
- Demonstrates empathy, agility and resilience.
- Possess good presentation and networking skills
- Analytical and proven problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with a focus on driving business results.
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages including 365
- Possess a valid driving licence with minimum 8 years driving experience
