Oxford University’s Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) 2023 Graduate Horizons_Training: (Deadline 17 September, 2023)

Are you interested in pursuing a master’s or PhD degree at the University of Oxford or other institutions worldwide for courses beginning September/October 2024? Would you like to receive 1:1 mentorship as you apply to graduate programmes and scholarships? Oxford University’s Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) is launching Graduate Horizons, a global application support programme for prospective students who have been affected by displacement, e.g., as refugees, asylum seekers, IDPs, and stateless, among other categories.

Graduate Horizons is designed for students who have completed (or will soon complete) a bachelor’s degree and are interested in submitting applications for master’s or PhD degrees that are set to begin in late 2024 at the University of Oxford and at other universities across the world. If you are selected to join the programme and receive mentorship, you will benefit from individual support from a current graduate student or alumni of Oxford who will:

  • Discuss available graduate courses and the application process for degrees at Oxford and elsewhere;
  • Help you navigate application processes for scholarships that you might be eligible for;
  • Provide feedback on the documents you prepare for submission to graduate degrees and/or scholarship applications.

Participants of Graduate Horizons will join a series of workshops that focus on: helping select a good-fit university and degree, writing a compelling personal statement, and drafting CVs and other required documents, among other topics. Workshops will take place from October–November 2023.

Soon after his death his Trustees created several more Scholarships for Canada than he had done. The adaptation continued through three Acts of the British Parliament and other important changes to his will …
