BRALIRWA Plc is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced Packaging Team Leader at Job Grade 10 based in Gisenyi, reporting to the Packaging Manager.

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure production on Packaging lines during the allocated shift, including coordination with other areas and people management.

Follow the key performance indicators and strive for continuous improvement.

Set the strategy to deliver by building, developing, and guiding high performance of department staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS

Safety, Food Safety and Sustainability

• Implements Heineken safety and food safety standards.
• Monitors the 5S, housekeeping, HACCP, and order on the area under the responsibility (Packaging).
•  Ensures sustainable production environment.

Quality of the process and product

• Seeks information and improvement opportunities and takes care that quality improvement activities within own area of responsibility are executed.

TPM and continuous improvement

• Proactively develops plans and manages resources to drive improvements in department and process performance.

Process management

• Reports any deviation from packaging process standards (for own area of responsibility), proposes and leads Process improvement when needed.
• Looks for potential solutions and makes effective communication to peers and higher level.

Equipment management

• Evaluates effectiveness of full AM activities in Packaging and identifies improvement opportunities (i.e. CILT time reduction) and cooperates with the PM Pillar.

Organization and people management

• Support the Implementation of development plans by mobilizing and coaching his team.
• Develops training materials SOPs / OPLs and trains his team.

Management of information and reporting

• Captures, evaluates, reports performance data and executes improvement actions.

Planning and execution

• Proactively plans and manages resources to drive performance in his shift.
• Ensures cost-efficient execution of the activities necessary to meet the output requirements by setting properly the priorities.

Suppliers’ management

• Cooperates closely with contractors to achieve high productivity.
• In alignment with his manager, he manages projects OTIF in collaboration with contractors other external packaging stakeholders

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

• Minimum Bachelor level in electrical / mechanical or related fields.
• 2 to 5 years beverage technological experience and managing people.
• Working experience as Packaging / Quality of Packaging / Packaging operations /BPM, etc.
• Having People management and leadership skills.
• Having TPM background.
• Working knowledge of MS Office packages-Word & Excel.
• Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (both verbally and in writing), and French will be added advantage.
