Research Focus
The studentship centers on understanding higher education dynamics, addressing the increasing participation and non-completion rates of young adults. Specifically, the successful candidate will investigate the social, ethical, economic, political, and historical factors influencing participation and completion in tertiary education.

Eligibility Criteria

The studentship will be awarded based on exceptional academic merit. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualifications:
    • A first or upper second-class undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
    • A Master’s degree (preferably with distinction or equivalent).
  • Residency Status: Open to UK and EU applicants only. Unfortunately, international applicants are ineligible for this studentship.
