PKI Senior Security Auditor at Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA): (Deadline 21 August 2025)

Job responsibilities

● Plan and execute comprehensive security audits on systems, networks, and applications; ● Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and identify areas for improvement; ● Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security vulnerabilities; ● Collaborate with the IT and development teams to remediate identified security issues; ● Develop and maintain the institution’s cryptographic policies and cryptographic systems; ● Manage the secure generation, distribution, storage, rotation, and disposal of cryptographic keys; ● Ensure the effective use of cryptography in protecting the integrity and confidentiality of institution data; ● Audit and report on the use and management of cryptographic tools and services; ● Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices; ● Stay up-to-date with changes in security standards and ensure organisational adherence; ● Assist in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines; ● Provide guidance to other teams to ensure consistent application of security policies; ● Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and respond to security incidents; ● Provide expertise in identifying the root cause of security incidents and recommend preventive measures; ● Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees; ● Foster a security-conscious culture within the organisation; ● Assist in the development of business continuity plans and procedures; ● Support training and testing of the organization’s disaster preparedness plans; ● Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure effective communication during disruptions; ● Document incidents and responses for evaluation and process improvement; ● Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings and recommendations; ● Present audit results to senior management and stakeholders; ● Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
