Public Policy New Voices Program 2025: (Deadline 29 January, 2025)

Applications are open for the Public Policy New Voices Program 2025. The Public Policy New Voices (PPNV) Program is a collaboration among leading public policy graduate schools, corporate public policy teams, and some of the most innovative global strategic advisory firms in the nation who are committed to addressing the systemic challenges experienced by early-career, underrepresented people of color in the public policy field. PPNV convenes graduate students of color to contribute to the creation of a global policy network while addressing and tackling the structural challenges that prevent full representation and participation in policy-focused careers.

Forty Fellows will join PPNV’s 2025 Cohort and embark on a virtual year-long, 18-session fellowship experience that offers:

  • Building Block Skills: Provides Fellows with essential skills needed to maximize job readiness and stand out during the job application process.
  • Network and Industry Exposure: Cultivates a broad network to provide industry exposure for fellows, maximizing opportunities during and after the program.
  • Cohort Connections: Creates a tight-knit intra-cohort community to strengthen Fellows’ personal resilience and foster long-term relationships.
  • Internship Matching: Facilitates paid internship matching within PPNV partner organizations. Fellows receive application support when applying for internships; placement is not guaranteed.

Eligibility

To be considered for the PPNV Fellowship, applicants must:

  • Be actively enrolled in a U.S.-based graduate degree program (Masters / Doctoral / Law / Dual Degree) during the time of the fellowship.
  • Self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color (BIPOC). This includes Black students from the African diaspora, students with tribal citizenship or membership (e.g., citizens of state-recognized or federally-recognized indigenous tribes, or members of unrecognized Native American or Alaska Native tribes), Latino/a students, and students of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) descent.
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent U.S. resident, or DACA recipient.

By applying for the PPNV Fellowship, applicants are committing to:

  • Championing PPNV’s commitment to advancing policy solutions that promote inclusion, diversity, equity, and justice.
  • Demonstrating solution-oriented, forward-thinking, and self-aware qualities, while exploring public policy careers across sectors (including the private sector).
  • Producing a written reflection paper at the end of the Fellowship.
  • Actively participating and attending at least 80% of the fellowship sessions (15/18 attendance rate)
  • Sharing demographic information to assist in tracking PPNV’s long-term progress as a diversity program.

Upon completing the Fellowship, participants must submit a reflection paper to Globally. Their reflections will be shared with university and corporate partners and will inform the next year of programming to maintain this program’s ability to respond to the needs and interests of Fellows over time.

Deadline: 29 January, 2025
