Registrations for the Mission économique de la Francophonie in Cotonou, Benin
The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), in partnership with the government of Benin, is organizing the 6th Francophonie Economic Mission (MEF) from June 17 to 19, 2025, in Cotonou.
Applications are open until March 20, 2025.
This event will provide Francophone businesses and investors looking to expand internationally with the opportunity to explore business and investment prospects in Benin and in the vast West African market. It will focus on three sectors with high potential for intra-Francophone partnerships:
- Agro-industry: Processing of agricultural products (cotton-textile, cashew nuts,corn, organic palm oil) and the development of local value chains (meat, poultry, aquaculture, fishing).
- Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI): Development of the screen, fashion, tourism, and event industries, leveraging Benin’s rich historical heritage.
- Digital transformation: Promotion of business process outsourcing supported by artificial intelligence, deployment of e-government solutions, and development of applications dedicated to the agro-industry and CCI sectors.
Guided by experts, Francophone businesses and investors will have the opportunity to connect with more than 200 local companies and hundreds of counterparts from all Francophone regions (Africa, America, Asia, Europe, the Indian Ocean, and the Middle East).
They will gain privileged access to the local business and entrepreneurial ecosystem and receive valuable advice from professionals specializing in international business development.
The mission will include tailored business-to-business (B2B) meetings, high-level sectoral workshops, and company visits designed to maximize networking and investment opportunities.
Year after year*, the MEFs—having facilitated thousands of meetings and resulted in dozens of agreements with a cumulative estimated value of 15 million euros—serve as a unique lever for the international expansion of Francophone enterprises.
