Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowship 2025 for International Students:

Applications are invited to apply for the Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowship 2025 in Ireland. All International students can apply for these fully funded fellowship programs in Ireland. Fellowships can be taken full-time or part-time, and they can last anywhere from one to twenty-four months. Academic researchers (at the faculty, postdoctoral, and late-stage PhD levels) who want to work in industry around the world will be supported by the placement stream. Applications for either stream are welcome from all disciplines at Research Ireland.

Both SFI and the IRC provided a range of enterprise-facing fellowship programs to encourage cooperation with enterprise before merging to become Research Ireland. The 2025 Ireland Enterprise Fellowship Programme will see the final run of the IRC Enterprise Fellowship Scheme (Postdoctoral) under the Partnership Stream and the final run of the original SFI Industry RD&I Fellowship Programme under the Placement Stream as Research Ireland works to create a new consolidated fellowship program. For a duration of 12 or 24 months, the partnership stream provides funding to appropriately qualified postdoctoral fellows or late-stage PhD students who are collaborating with an enterprise and conducting full-time research based in an approved research body.

These two esteemed programs, which were previously operated as the SFI Industry RD&I Fellowship and the IRC Enterprise Partnership Scheme (Postdoctoral), have united under the name Research Ireland. The catch is that, depending on your research goals and career level, you can now apply under TWO dynamic streams.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowship Programs 2025, you must fulfill these eligibility criteria. Applicants from following categories listed are eligible:

• Late-stage PhD candidates (those who are almost finished with their thesis)
• Postdoctoral investigators (in every field)
• Academic staff (only in the Placement Stream)
• Any country’s researchers are welcome!
• Bonus: All fields are eligible, including

How to Apply for Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowship?

An online grants management system is used to submit applications, and call materials are provided for each stream to help you with the procedure. The Research Ireland Fellowships 2025 application process is now open. The final selection and fellowship results will be released in November 2025, and interested candidates must submit their completed applications by July 15, 2025.
