Degree Level

Eligibility Criteria
This programme combines two previous national initiatives—SFI Industry RD&I Fellowship and IRC Enterprise Partnership Scheme (Postdoctoral)—to support innovation through academic-industry partnerships.
Placement Stream
- Eligible Applicants: Faculty members, Postdoctoral researchers, and late-stage PhD students.
- Fellowship Location: Fellows will be based in an industry or enterprise setting.
- Duration: From 1 to 24 months (available full-time or part-time).
- Objective: To provide hands-on industry experience.
- Previous Name: Industry RD&I Fellowship.
Partnership Stream
- Eligible Applicants: Postdoctoral researchers and late-stage PhD students.
- Fellowship Location: Fellows will be based within a Higher Education Institution (HEI).
- Duration: 12 or 24 months.
- Objective: To pursue academic research in partnership with enterprise.
- Previous Name: Enterprise Partnership Scheme (Postdoctoral).
Who Can Be an Enterprise Partner?
All applicants must collaborate with an industry or enterprise partner, which can include:
- Multinational corporations (MNCs)
- Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
- Registered charities or nonprofit organizations
- Cultural, social, or civic bodies
- (For Partnership Stream) Public sector agencies or eligible public bodies
