SpaceX Spring 2026 Engineering Internship/Co-op (Multiple Openings) Deadlime: Not Specified

SpaceX is opening doors for talented and motivated students to be part of its groundbreaking journey in aerospace and engineering through the Spring 2026 Engineering Internship/Co-op program. For students passionate about innovation, technology, and space exploration, this internship is a chance to contribute to projects that define the future of humanity beyond Earth.

Purpose of the Internship

The SpaceX internship program is designed to bridge academic knowledge with real-world engineering challenges. Interns work closely with expert mentors, engineers, and technical staff on impactful projects that directly contribute to SpaceX’s mission. From spacecraft design to launch site operations, this program allows students to gain hands-on experience while participating in initiatives that could one day support human life on Mars.

Interns are not limited to one area—they may join any of SpaceX’s leading programs, including Dragon spacecraft, Falcon reusable rockets, Starlink broadband system, Starshield defense initiatives, and Starship, the fully reusable next-generation transportation system. Each program offers unique engineering roles ranging from design and testing to manufacturing and systems integration.

Intern’s Responsibilities

  • Support engineering teams with design, development, and testing of aerospace systems.
  • Contribute to hands-on problem-solving in areas such as avionics, propulsion, structural design, and operations.
  • Participate in collaborative teamwork with technicians, engineers, and managers.
  • Assist in research, analysis, and integration tasks aligned with ongoing projects.
  • Take part in professional development, leadership talks, and networking events hosted by SpaceX.

Benefits and Compensation

The SpaceX Spring 2026 Engineering Internship/Co-op offers one of the most attractive benefits packages for engineering students in the United States, making it a highly sought-after program for career growth. Interns receive a competitive pay scale, with freshman and sophomore interns earning $28 per hour, while junior and senior interns earn $30 per hour.

Along with financial rewards, SpaceX supports interns with relocation stipends to ease the cost of moving to internship locations across the country. Participants also gain access to comprehensive benefits, including medical coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, and eligibility for 10 or more paid company holidays per year.

Beyond monetary compensation, the program emphasizes professional development and networking. Interns are invited to attend exclusive presentations from SpaceX leaders, technical training sessions, and team-building activities designed to strengthen skills and expand industry connections. This blend of financial incentives, relocation support, healthcare, retirement benefits, and professional learning makes the SpaceX internship one of the most rewarding opportunities for engineering students looking to advance their careers in the aerospace industry.
