Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will conduct a Procurement of a Master Trainer for cooperative strengthening.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief Project Advisor in CUP2, the Project Officer will work at the JICA project office in Gikondo, Kigali in undertaking the following activities:
- Implement the cooperative action plan of TOTin close cooperation with each cooperative manager and member to increase productivity, quality, market access and organizational capacity;
- Coordinate farmers groups together with Field Officers to facilitate peer-to-peer learning;
- · Conduct capacity building activities primarily in farming:
- Prepare and validate the training manual
- Implement training to the cooperatives
- Collect lessons and improve the training materials
- Lead the Field Officer in each cooperative to timely and completely monitor and report progress of Peer-to-peer training and application of the introduced techniques in TOT;
- Timely report progress of TOT applications in the targeted farms;
- Validate and disseminate the improved training materials to stakeholders;
- Develop and conduct the monitoring and evaluation plan to demonstrate the difference between TOT targeted farms and non-targeted farms in productivity and quality;
- Support monitoring and evaluation of demonstration plots to illustrate the importance of rejuvenation techniques;
- Support coordination of the stakeholders including NAEB, CEPAR and RCCF to work collaboratively when necessary;
- Participate in the meetings of the CUP2 project when necessary.
- Actively share updates of the work and repository of the relevant documents and data sources with the CUP2 members.
- Submit the report when required (e.g. Field trip report, monthly report, final report)

The deadline to submit proposals to JICA Rwanda Office (Ground Floor, Ebenezer House, Kacyiru, Kigali) is on 21 March 2025 by 11:00.
