Supply of 210,000 Pineapple suckers and 16,322 Crowns: (Deadline 15 March 2021)

Introduction:

The Feed the Future Rwanda Hinga Weze Activity (Hinga Weze) is a USAID program implemented by CNFA in Rwanda. The goal of Hinga Weze is to sustainably increase smallholder farmers’ income, improve nutritional status of Rwandan women and children, and increase the resilience of the agriculture and food systems to the changing climate. To achieve the goals of the Hinga Weze, five value chains are specifically targeted: high-iron beans (HIB), orange flesh sweet potato (OFSP), Irish potato, maize, and horticulture.

It is within that background Hinga Weze, in collaboration with Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources  Board (RAB),  needs to procure Pineapple suckers and Pineapple crowns to be distributed to farms in Nyamagabe/Musange sector. The detailed specifications and terms are provided in section 4.

The purpose of this Request for Quotations (RFQ) is to solicit quotations from well-known individual/cooperatives/companies in Pineapple suckers and crowns production or supply.  Offerors are responsible for ensuring that their offers are received by CNFA in accordance with the instructions, terms, and conditions described in this RFQ.  Failure to adhere with instructions described in this RFQ may lead to disqualification of an offer from consideration.
