1. Introduction

But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination. And its girls who are most affected. We work together to change norms, attitudes and behaviors, laws, policies, and approaches that help secure deep-rooted and long lasting changes in children’s and young people’s lives. We are passionate about vulnerable and marginalized girls taking the lead in decisions that affect their lives.

2. Terms of Reference for Supply of Radio Kit with Solar Panel.

Plan International Rwanda through its project Access to Quality Education and ECD, wishes to procure Solar Radio kits with memory cards of 8 GB for community use and support the e-learning programs for children below 6 years old and students attending primary and secondary schools during and after vodid-19 and therefore invites reputable Companies to bid for the supply.

2.1. General Objectives​

To contribute to improved quality of education from the early years up to secondary school by tackling the root causes of drop out and repetition.

2.1.2. Specific Objectives of the project.

• To strengthen a safe school environment for girls and boys to stay in school and complete it.
• To empower girls and boys to make safe decisions about their SRHR.
• To build a strong foundation for development and learning for children aged 0-19 years.

3. Expected results.

• Students are able to stay safe at home and are kept up-to-date about their lessons,
• Students and their families are aware and able to follow the news and protect themselves from COVID-19 Pandemic,
• Students are able to learn and revise their lessons from their homes.

4. Targeted group

 Plan International Rwanda is targeting vulnerable families from Sponsored families and families with children participating in the project target ECD centers, primary ,secondary schools, and their communities

6. Eligible companies must meet the following criteria.

i.    Duly Registered companies (RDB Registration and VAT certificate)

ii.    Must have at least 1 years’ experience of supplying similar goods in Rwanda;

iii.    Must provide references of at least one client to whom they supplied similar goods.

iv.    Should state the period for warranty.

7. Submission of bids.

Interested companies/services providers may send their offer, in PDF format, through email: Tendersreceipt.Rwanda@plan-international.org, and must be clearly marked on email subject “SUPPLY OF RADIO KITS”. Offers should be submitted not later than 12.00 hours on August  12th, 2020.
