Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 AI Hub Compute Accelerator Program. In partnership with leading AI ecosystem actors across Africa, Italy, and the G7, the AI Hub for Sustainable Development is proud to launch the Compute Accelerator Programme — a first-of-its-kind initiative designed to give African ventures the compute power, mentorship, and global networks they need to thrive.

•  Programme Dates: October 2025 – March 2026

This six-month accelerator will support 120 AI ventures across Africa by providing access to advanced GPU and cloud infrastructure, alongside mentorship and international collaboration opportunities.

There are two tracks:

• Compute Ready Track – For 20 market-validated AI ventures that already have products with immediate compute needs.
• Compute Curious Track – For 100 early-stage AI ventures with strong potential but limited technical readiness.

Requirements

The programme is open to:

• AI entrepreneurs, startups, research-led ventures, and innovators based in 14 priority African countries.
• Teams tackling high-impact domains such as health, climate, agriculture, education, governance, finance, and more.
• Ventures that need access to GPU computing power, cloud credits, or technical mentorship to accelerate their innovation.
• Innovators committed to scaling solutions that directly benefit sustainable development in Africa.
