Treasury Lead at Bralirwa: (Deadline 22 February 2024)
BRALIRWA Plc is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and experienced Treasury Lead. The ideal candidate should embody our organizational behaviors: Connect, Shape, Develop, and Deliver. The position will be based in Kigali, with the incumbent reporting to the Accounting & Reporting Manager .
JOB PURPOSE:
The treasury lead ensures the deployment of company’s cash resources to maximum advantage while ensuring that adequate funds are available when needed. The Treasury lead will be responsible for planning and managing the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Treasury functions and cash flow management
- Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow.
- Forecast regular cash requirements and execute financing decisions.
- Prepare or monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modeling.
- Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies.
- Control the liquid funds of the business on daily basis.
- Control forex obligation of the business
- Manage all Bank Accounts and ensure that reconciliations are up to date.
- Make local and overseas remittances promptly.
- Accuracy of cash allocation for customers.
- Financial institution and investment management
- Manage long-term and short-term investment strategies vs the cash position.
- Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions.
- Ensure that debt payments and related transactions and other obligations are met as due.
- Manage all aspects of in-house investment portfolios.
- Manage relationships with financial service providers.
- Conduct benchmark studies of banks and their services to evaluate whether it fits the Company’s requirements.
- Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines.
- Maintain a balance between short- and long-term investments.
- Financial policies and procedures.
- Report on changes in Rwanda Foreign Exchange Regulations.
- Review policy on most economical sources of forex.
- Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions.
- Assess risk/return trade offs in guidelines.
- Team management
- To provide operational and administrative leadership for the treasury section.
- Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance.
- 3-5 years of working experience in accounting/ finance institutions
- Computer literacy (Ms Office, …)
