University of Cambridge Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme 2026/2027 (Fully Funded): (Deadline January 2026)
Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 University of Cambridge Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme.
The programme enables talented young Africans to pursue a Master’s degree and grow their leadership potential at one of the world’s leading universities.
Eligibility Requirements:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree.

Meet the academic entry requirements of the chosen course (UK first-class honours or upper second-class degree equivalent).

Be from, and live in, an African country (temporary residence outside Africa for work/study is allowed).

Apply for an eligible full-time Master’s course, excluding:
-
Master of Accountancy (MACC)
-
MBA
-
Master of Corporate Law (MCL)
-
Master of Finance (MFIN)
-

Demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to contribute to climate-resilient and sustainable futures for Africa.

Show dedication to giving back to your community, home country, or Africa.
Scholarship Benefits:

Induction programme before the academic year begins

3–6 month placement in a leading Africa-based organisation

Note: Due to UK Home Office rule changes (January 2024), dependants are not eligible for visas for one-year taught Master’s programmes.
