The amount to be offered will be determined by the University Sports Scholarship Committee and each case is considered on its own merit.

A University of Kent Sports Scholarship includes the following benefits:
- Financial support of between £300 – £5,000 per year to support access to facilities, preparation and participation in sport
- Access to the Kent Sport Clinic for sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- Inclusive Kent Sport Membership at Canterbury or equivalent access at Medway
- Weekly Coach-led Strength & Conditioning and exercise prescription App access
- Termly Technique & Testing and Sports Scholarship Workshops
- Scholarship Welcome, Celebration and Social Events

University of Kent Sports Scholarships Scheme Courses

Requirements for University of Kent Sports Scholarships Scheme Qualification
- Scholarships are available to outstanding student athletes from any sport who compete (at least) at county level or equivalent
- Sports Scholars should be committed to representing the University of Kent in British University & College Sport (BUCS) competition and join their relevant student club
- Sports Scholarships are open to new international and domestic undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, as well as current University of Kent students
- We also have a bespoke offer for Kent and Medway Medical School students
- Sports scholarships are not available to International students taking a foundation year
- Please view the detailed FAQ section within the Sports Scholarship webpage for a breakdown of application criteria and expectations of the scheme
It is not necessary to wait for an offer of a place before submitting your application, however your application will be checked against a valid Kent Vision Applicant ID. Applicants should also note that the offer of a Sports Scholarship does not carry with it the offer of a place and all students are subject to the normal course tuition fees.
