Announcement:
The University of Rwanda, College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), invites qualified candidates to apply for the Upgrading Program to Bachelor of Science with Honours in Midwifery for the 2025/2026 academic year. This full-time, four-semester program is designed to advance the qualifications of A1 Midwifery diploma holders, contributing to Rwanda’s healthcare workforce development.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

Hold an Advanced Diploma (A1) in Midwifery.
Provide certified academic transcripts with a minimum 65% average score.
Submit a valid NCNM registration certificate and license to practice as an A1 Midwife.
Include a motivation letter (300 words max) addressed to the Principal.
Attach a national ID/passport copy and two passport photos (white background).
Demonstrate English proficiency (language of instruction).
Shortlisted candidates may undergo an entry exam.

Application Process

1. Submit Documents In-Person:

Deliver required documents to the Department of Midwifery, CMHS, Remera Campus.

2. Generate Reference Number/PIN:

Visit www.ur.ac.rw → Admission → Student Portal → New Application.

3. Pay Application Fee:

Rwandan/EAC citizens: 5,000 RWF
International applicants: 6,000 RWF
Bank Account: 0009400651934-37 (Bank of Kigali).

4. Complete Hard-Copy Form: Available at the Central Secretariat or Midwifery Department.
