University of Stirling EU Undergraduate Students Scholarship 2024: (Deadline Not Specified)

The UK Government has confirmed EU students are now classified as International students for tuition fee purposes. At Stirling, we wish to support our EU students who are affected by this change in status through this transition.

For eligible EU students starting their undergraduate course with us in January 2024, September 2024 and January 2025 we will award an automatic £5,000 fee discount each year, for Years 1-3Having entered Year 1 and progressed successfully through Years 2 and 3, eligible students will be awarded a scholarship covering the full cost of the fees for their Honours year (Year 4) of study.

Eligible EU students who join their undergraduate course through advanced entry, e.g. direct into Year 2 or progressing from an academic programme at INTO Stirling, will receive the automatic £5,000 fee discount for each year of their Stirling degree course including the final year. Advanced entry students are not eligible for the Honours year (Year 4) fee waiver.

Aim and Benefits of University of Stirling EU Undergraduate Scholarship

Those who join their undergraduate course through advanced entry routes will receive a £5,000 fee discount for each year of their Stirling degree, but will not receive the Honours year fee waiver.

Requirements for University of Stirling EU Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

  • You must be classed as an International student for tuition fee purposes.
  • You must be ordinarily resident in the EU prior to commencing your studies.
  • Students from the Republic of Ireland will be eligible for our range of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland scholarships.
  • If you are offered more than one University of Stirling award, then the highest value award will be applied. This scholarship can only be combined with the University of Stirling’s Sports scholarships.
  • This award is only available to students entering directly into a full-time undergraduate degree programme, delivered at the University’s Stirling campus.

All eligible EU students who enter an undergraduate degree course at the University of Stirling in January 2024, September 2024 or January 2025 will automatically be allocated a discount, and those who successfully complete Years 1-3, will automatically be allocated the Honours year fee waiver.

The Reid Family: Scottish Widening Participation Scholarship at University of Stirling 2024: (Deadline 20 April, 2024)

 

 

 

We support Scottish students from Widening Participation backgrounds to help with the financial pressures of living costs and tuition fees so you can achieve your full potential.

The scholarships being awarded are:

  • Undergraduate Widening Participation Scholarship: three awards.
  • Postgraduate Masters Widening Participation Scholarship: two awards.

Tuition fees will not be included in the Undergraduate scholarship as these will be paid by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS), but tuition fees will be included in the Postgraduate and PhD scholarships. Living costs for all scholarships will be paid up to the amount stated.

If you are eligible for additional SAAS funding due to your circumstances, whether it be a bursary or a loan, you are still eligible to apply for the Widening Participation Scholarships.

Aim and Benefits of University of Stirling The Reid Family: Widening Participation Scholarship

Scholarship values: 

  • Undergraduates:
    • £8,500 for each year of study up to 4 years, to support with living costs.
  • Postgraduates:
    • Master/MSc: £19,350 for each year of study up to 2 years. Divided into £9,850 for tuition fees and £9,500 for living costs each year.

 

 

Requirements for University of Stirling The Reid Family: Widening Participation Scholarship Qualification

Applications will be considered from potential students who:

  • have been living in Scotland for at least 5 years;
  • are the first generation in their family to attend higher education study;
  • have an offer for an undergraduate or postgraduate programme at the University of Stirling for 2023-2024,

and come from at least one of the following backgrounds:

  • You are from a priority postcode area (check your postcode).
  • You are involved in the Schools for Higher Education Programme (Aspire North, Focus West, LEAPS and Lift Off).
  • You are a care experienced student.
  • You are a young or adult carer.
  • You are an estranged student.
  • You are a student on the University of Stirling Access to Degree Studies Programme.
  • You are a student on a SWAP access course (Scottish Wider Access Programme).
  • You are ex-armed forces personnel or the child of active serving armed forces personnel.
