University of Sussex Chancellor International Scholarships (Deadline: 01 May 2020)
The applications for the Funded International Scholarships at the University of Sussex have opened.
University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools and they award the scholarships on the basis of academic performance and potential of non-EU international students who apply for and been offered a place for eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex. There are altogether 25 scholarships awarded as a 50% tuition fee reduction, available to international postgraduate applicants who can demonstrate academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
The interested candidates must meet the following requirements to receive the University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships
- The applicants should classify themselves as overseas for fee purposes.
• Also, they must accept a place on a full-time, eligible Masters, commencing at the University of Sussex in September 2020 as well as have excellent grades (UK first class or equivalent)
• Furthermore, they should have clear and specific goals with defined links to their course.
How to apply
To be considered for the Funded Scholarships at the University of Sussex, the applicants need to receive and accept an offer of a place on an eligible Masters at Sussex.
To apply for the scholarship, the candidates must provide a statement of academic interests. They should include information about
- their drive and ambitions
- Also, their potential for positive impact when you return to your home country
- In addition to that, the candidate’s relevant work experience, skills or extra-curricular activity that relate to their ambitions and/or chosen course
Level/Field(s) of study:
The University of Sussex Schools offers full-time Masters’ programs EXCEPT for the following
- Postgraduate diplomas (including CPE Common Professional Examination)
- Corruption, Law and Governance LLM (delivered in Qatar)as well as Development Studies MA
- Early Years in Education MA
- Globalization, Business and Development MA
- Governance, Development and Public Policy MA
- Also, Power, Participation and Social Change MA
- Poverty and Development MA as well as Masters degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- PGCE courses as well as schools direct teaching courses
- Any Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. those receiving ESRC 1+3 funding are not eligible)
- Also, any Masters at Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
Target group
The target groups are non-UK/EU international students.
Scholarship value/duration
The scholarship is 50% off the international student tuition fee. The University offers the scholarships for one academic year.
