Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Nautical Science) – Navigation Cadet Training Program (first and second year of the bachelor’s course)
- 30% reduction in registered tuition fees for year 1 and 2.
Year 2 (Deck Watchkeeper)
- 30% reduction in registered tuition fees for students entering year 2.
Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) – Engine Cadet Training Program (first and second year of the bachelor’s course)
- 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for year 1 and 2
Year 2 (Engine Watchkeeper)
- 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for students entering year 2.

Requirements for Australian Maritime College (AMC) Bursary Qualification
To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be classified as an International Student as defined under the Application rules of the University of Tasmania.
- Must be commencing either year 1 or year 2 of the Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Nautical Science) or Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) in 2025.
- Must be enrolled full-time.
- Not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania bursary (with the exception of the English Language Package bursary).
- Not be commencing at the University of Tasmania through an articulation agreement with a partner institution.
