Health Management Information System Officer (HMIS)

About the Role:

The HMIS Officer will work to contribute to an improvement in the overall health data management of the targeted refugee population of Mahama Camp through the provision of health data quality. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Detailed key responsibilities are in attached JD.

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in general nursing /public health with 2 years’ experience in health data management or Bachelor’s degree in computer science with more than 5 years’ experience in health data management from a recognized university;
Excellent liaison abilities and good communication skills (French, Kiswahili and English preferred);
Willingness to work in resource poor environment and be culturally sensitive;
Ability to produce basic reports in English;
Ability and familiar with Health data management system like HMIS/HIS and IMPACT;
Experience of working in health data management, CRVS;
Strong capacity in collect and analyses of health data and knowledge of CRVS uses;
Ability of be cooperative and collaborative with TEAM;
Computer knowledge (Microsoft office, M.S Word, MS Excel)

Medical Logistician Officerat at Save the children: (Deadline 20 March 2020)

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the medical logistician officer is to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the medical supply chain for SCI. S/he will ensure readiness of the Kirehe office as it pertains to the quantification, procurement, maintenance and replacement of medical and pharmaceutical items. In addition to this, will support the daily operations of the unit with the collaboration of the pharmacy officer.

Detailed key responsibilities are in attached JD.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor degree in supply chain and logistics management with the back ground of nursing or any health related domaim;
Progressive experience with international NGOs in humanitarian medical logistics;
Previous experience of supporting first phase self- sufficient primary health care programmes;
Ability to work in and maintain a positive team dynamic in insecure environments;
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization;
Strong knowledge of medical items necessary in various clinical departments;
Skilled in assessing quality, price, and durability of medical tools and equipment
A dept at distributing medical supplies to respective units before items run shortage;
Advanced computer navigation skills and experience with online system;
Outstanding communication and organizational skills;
Detail oriented, organised with strong experience in requisitioning required medical supplies, ensuring appropriate bill payment.
