 VACANCY – KUJA KUJA INSIGHT ASSOCIATE

 

ARC works with its partners and constituencies to provide opportunities and expertise to refugees, displaced people and host communities – to better survive conflicts and crisis, and to rebuild lives of dignity, health, security, and self-sufficiency. ARC presently works in and with partners in ten countries globally.

 

ARC has consistently operated in Rwanda since 1994, and today has a strong and committed team of over 200 regular, full-time national staff and partners – implementing programs in Primary health care, RH, HIV and Nutrition, WASH, Shelter/Infrastructure, and SGBV & Protection.

 

Kuja Kuja is a new initiative from ARC, which collects real-time feedback from the communities that we serve. This feedback helps ARC to improve our services and to build a deeper connection with communities. ARC has successfully launched Kuja Kuja across Uganda, Somalia, and Rwanda.

 

ARC is looking for qualified, self-driven and committed individual – for the position of Kuja Kuja Insight Associate, based full time in Gihembe Refugee Camp in Gicumbi District.

 

 

POSITION

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE

 

Insight Associate, Kuja Kuja (1 position)

 

Reports to: Kuja Kuja Insight Associate – Gihembe Team Leader

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

 

The Insight Associate will responsible for collecting feedback from customers/program beneficiaries and share it with ARC service teams in line with the Kuja Kuja feedback system.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Participate in trainings organized by Kuja Kuja lead team.
Participate in the daily feedback collection and uploading on the server.
Participate in the Kuja Kuja team meetings.
Share updates with customers as per the changes made by service team.
Taking good care of Kuja-Kuja properties.
You must return all Kuja Kuja uniforms and branded items on your last day at work.

 

Minimum requirements:

 

Kinyarwanda, English, and French are a requirement, basic Kiswahili preferable.
A2 is required.
Experience working within the humanitarian response or social development space or a demonstrated desire to learn about this work.
Familiarity with digital technology and experience using Microsoft word, WhatsApp, email, and other applications.
Some experience in customer service, hospitality, or teaching is very desirable.
Preferably a Resident of Gicumbi District / Gihembe Refugee Camp.

ARC is looking for a qualified, self-driven and committed individual to join in the position of Nurse Pharmacist. Duty station as assigned

 

 

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Data collection, tracking and analysis and reporting on stock pharmacy stocks, consumption and replenishment.
Contribute to efficiencies in distribution chain efficient stock-keeping and stock turnover including monitoring drugs utilization, and therefore input into re-order and supply management.
Apply ARC pharmacy management tools correctly ensuring stock management procedures for health products (stock cards for movement tracking, supply request book, register for special drugs distribution and register for Health Center materials).
Verify medical prescriptions according to protocols for pharmaceutical management
Maintain stock management and best storage practices for health products according to WHO and National protocols
Analyze health product consumption trends and provide technical guidance to distribution nurse- pharmacists and Health Coordinator on health product stock and other clinical teams for better drug management.
Carry out the distribution of essential drugs to distribution pharmacies, respecting the FIFO method (First IN First Out), and informing patients on drugs dosage and mode of use
Receive and notify the Logistics team for the transport of medicines and other medical supplies from nearby ARC pharmacy store
Write and submit requisitions of essential drugs and other medical supplies on a monthly basis, tracking the same with Kigali national stock pharmacist.
Maintain record keeping procedures of health products stock as per ARC pharmacy regulations, including daily updating of stock cards and scheduled inventory reports (monthly/weekly)
Maintain organization of pharmacy space, including the ability to recall/locate items efficiently.
Maintain knowledge and capacity to manage both Stock Pharmacy and Clinic Pharmacy, including following standard ordering procedures, maintaining buffer stock, coordinating with Kigali-level warehouse, and following storage protocols
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

Minimum qualifications:

 

A1 in Nursing field is required or any related field
2-3 years of experience in nursing in a clinical setting in a low-resource, fast-paced setting, working with vulnerable/displaced persons
Analytical and organizational skills/experience with health data
Skills and experience in using electronic Management Information System (eLMIS)
Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Systems, Nutrition protocols, HIV protocols, and Primary and Reproductive Health Care concepts, including Rwandan Ministry of Health protocols and guidelines
Experience in pharmaceutical management and logistics
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Oral/writing skills in Kinyarwanda and English or French
Experience working in protracted refugee situation and/or previous experience in Rwanda

PRIMARY PURPOSE

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Oversee and coordinate all the activities of the HIV/AIDS sector
Develop and execute work plans and activity plans for the HIV/AIDS sector to meet annual goals,
Ensure that all HIV/AIDS projects have well-defined performance indicators and output monitoring mechanisms
Supervise HIV/AIDS staff on completing project activities, monitoring work performance, and ensuring protocols and standards are being followed
Develop counseling, testing, and ARV-distribution protocols that will be used in the identification and management of HIV/AIDS
Develop strategies/action plans to maintain compliance of HIV/AIDS program activities/goals with national protocols
Coordinate with logistics, nutrition staff, laboratory staff and pharmacist to ensure availability of ARV drugs, supplemental food for PLHIVS, contraceptives, PEP kits, and testing materials
HIV/AIDS education: Develop HIV/AIDS education tools to be used by HIV/AIDS staff and community health workers to sensitize beneficiaries on prevention of HIV transmission, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, testing for HIV, prevention of social stigmatization of PLHIVs, and treatment of HIV
Build the capacity of PMTCT Nurse, HIV social assistants, and VCT Counselor on identification and treatment of PLHIVs
Coordinate with other sector coordinators on planning and achieving program goals
Support/direct coordination of HIV/AIDS staff with other sector staff, particularly with other health staff
Monitoring: compile, submit, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual data from the HIV/AIDS sector, create and supervise surveys, analyze survey data and develop action plans based upon HIV/AIDS data
Represent ARC in sector meetings and communicate HIV/AIDS information to donors, leadership, government bodies, and coordinating bodies
Perform any other duties assigned by the ARC Health Coordinator or any other ARC Senior Manager

 

Minimum qualifications:

 

 

University degree in Health or Nursing, with emphasis on HIV/Infectious Disease
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HIV/AIDs programming
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS protocols, including SPHERE standards, WHO protocols, and Rwandan MoH HIV/AIDS protocols
Experience in analyzing and interpreting HIV/AIDS data and writing reports to a high technical standard
Experience of designing, implementing and analyzing HIV/AIDS surveys
Knowledge of the regional political and social conditions
Kinyarwanda, English, and French oral/writing skills, Kiswahili oral skills also preferred
Excellent organizational, administrative and management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Experience working in protracted refugee situation and/or previous experience in Rwanda a plus
Experience in managing and working with a multicultural staff
Strong participatory leadership and interpersonal skills
Computer skills, especially MS Office
Ability to motivate and counsel staff working in a refugee camp environment
