Climate Data &Chemicals Management Information System Officer Under Statute at RWANDA ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (REMA): (Deadline 20 April 2023)

Job description

– Regular climate change data collection, processing and update;
– Participate in all activities related to archiving and dissemination of climate change mandatory reports including Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), NATCOMs, BUR and others;
– Update and maintain climate change portal to share all climate change related information at national and international level;
– Participate in capacity building of national stakeholders on methodology and software related to international climate change reporting mechanisms (NATCOMs, BUR, NDCs,);
– Record & provide reports on data related to management of chemicals, toxic & hazardous substances through management of its digital archive;
– Monitor the importation or distribution of chemicals and the generation of solid and hazardous wastes through management of online application system;
– Follow up all activities related to data hosting and security of Climate Data & Chemicals management information systems;
