At Harambee, we’re not your typical organisation. We’re a dynamic team on a mission to solve youth unemployment through powerful partnerships. Now, we’re looking for a Country Manager to lead our Rwanda operations and help us scale our impact.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide strategic and inspirational leadership to a high-performing, values-driven team in Rwanda.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
- Lead the development and execution of Harambee Rwanda’s country strategy aligned with national priorities and Harambee’s global vision.
- Identify and drive opportunities to scale impact and deepen Harambee’s relevance in the Rwandan labor market.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with government, private sector, funders, and development partners.
- Represent Harambee Rwanda in national and international forums, conferences, and partnership platforms.
- Lead and expand fundraising efforts, cultivating relationships with donors, foundations, and agencies.
- Develop compelling funding proposals and ensure strong stewardship and reporting.
- Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Track and report on performance metrics to assess impact and effectiveness.
- Be a key advocate for Harambee’s mission and model across the ecosystem.
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in social enterprise, nonprofit, or public/private sectors.
- Proven track record in stakeholder engagement, fundraising, and team leadership.
- Deep understanding of Rwanda’s economic development and youth employment landscape.
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English (Kinyarwanda and/or French a plus).
