External Job Vacancy – Driver

Work Location: Rubavu

Job Purpose

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services as required at Rubavu Brewery. This position is classified as Job Grade 4 and reports directly to the Brewery Manager. The successful candidate will uphold the standards and responsibilities expected of a Company driver, ensuring exceptional service, confidentiality, and adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport personnel to and from work, meetings, events, and other appointments as required.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle in excellent condition, including regular cleaning, servicing, and prompt reporting of any issues.
• Plan routes efficiently and proactively account for traffic, road conditions, and time constraints to ensure punctuality.
• Demonstrate professional conduct, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
• Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and Heineken’s safety regulations.
• Assist with loading and unloading items as needed.
• Monitor vehicle documents (insurance, registration, inspection) and ensure timely renewals.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on vehicle usage, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
• Respond flexibly to changes in schedule and urgent transportation needs.
• Support with additional errands or tasks as requested by the Brewery Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid driver’s license category B.
• At least a High School Diploma (A2)
• Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as a Corporate Driver in a similar role (essential).
• Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Professional appearance and courteous manner.
• Familiarity with Rubavu and the surrounding areas is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with company standards.
